Altars ~

Altars probably originated when certain localities such as a tree, spring or rock came to be regarded as holy or as inhabited by spirits or gods, whose intervention could be solicited by the worshiper. The worshiper's gifts to propitiate or please the gods were placed on an altar nearby. In religion, altars have traditionally been a raised structure or place used for worship, meditation, rituals, and prayers. GothikGoddess.com offers small, personal altars for home use, and portable travel altars.

Shrines ~

Shrines are usually a case, box, receptacle or niche, much as a tiny house or home, containing a religious image; before which devotion is paid. An image of the Deity, represented in statue or statuette form, or in an abstract collection of items sacred to the individual Deity resides inside the Shrine. Offerings can be made before the shrine, or placed inside. Shrines may be hung on walls, set on tables, carried with one, or kept at bedside.

Triptychs ~

We offer small Triptychs, tabletop, three paneled screens, suitable for home altars and travel. Diptychs, two paneled screens, and other multiple paneled items are available upon request. Prices vary according to size.

Rosaries & Prayer Beads ~

There is no question that the use of beads as a means of spiritual connection and counting prayers is a more ancient practice than that of today's Christians. Many religions utilize beads in one form or another even today, and they can help enrich one's devotions.
